Facelift

The aim of the procedure is to remove the excessive skin, gravitational folds and to reduce the wrinkles of  a face and a neck. The operation corrects the face appearance and eliminates the symptoms of aging.

Course of the procedure

During the facelift the face skin is tightened in the upper- lateral direction and its excess is removed. The typical incisions are situated in the invisible areas of the temple, of the auricle and behind it. In some cases the fascia of the facial mimic muscles is also tightened.

Postoperative course

The dressings are kept for 9 days, in the same time the sutures are removed. During this period the limiting of physical activity is advisable (avoiding rapid movements and excessive exercise).
The normal look of face appears after 10 days,
the complete healing lasts about 1 month.
A final effect of the operation is visible after three months. Smoking can badly influence the wounds healing and worsen the procedure’s results.
