Breast lift with breast reduction

Persons whose mammary glands are disproportionately big in comparison to the whole figure can be qualified to the surgical breast reduction.A person whose too big breasts cause pain or even a spine deformation, back pain or to whom breasts hamper the everyday active life can also think about the procedure. The breast areolas can also be reduced.  If the skin is too relaxed or sagging its excess can be removed and breasts elevated.

 

Course of the procedure

The procedure consists of the surgical incisions around the breast areolas and in the creases under the breasts and it is based on such modelling and agumentation of breasts that it elevates the nipples to the planned position. Braest implants are placed under the pectoral muscle. The surgery lasts about 3 hours.

 

Anesthesia

The procedure is carried out under general anaesthesia.

 

The conditions of the procedure process

Before the procedure an anaesthetic consultation takes place. If needed the essential laboratory  tests are ordered  by the anaesthesiologist. Absolute contraindications to the procedure are: vascular diathesises and clotting disturbances, uncontrolled hypertension, uncontrolled diabetes, purulent infection of chest skin. Smoking can badly influence the wounds healing and can worsen the procedure’s results.
  Postoperative course

After the procedure dressings and a special bra are put on. The dressings are kept for about two weeks, in the same time the sutures are removed. During this period the limiting of physical activity is advisable. After the procedure breast soreness, swelling and general weakness can occur.The normal look of breasts appears after 4 weeks, the complete wounds’ healing lasts about 3 months, sport practising is advisable only after this period. Smoking can badly influence the wounds healing and worsen the procedure’s results.

 

The time of hospitalization

The time of hospitalization is from 2 to 4 days, healing lasts about 10-14 days. Sport practicing is contraindicated for about 3 months.
