Elos technology vs. traditional  methods of hair removing

Effectiveness of traditional methods based only on the optical energy depends on the quantity of melanin contained in hair, furthermore its aim is only a hair root. The superiority of more complicated and selective elos technology depends on the fact, that not only a hair root is damaged, but also a hair papilla, which is responsible for hair regrowth. Preparation for operation

The region which will undergo the procedure should be shaved a day before. If hair was removed with wax, depilator or chemically before, to obtain a better result, you should wait for 4 weeks before the photoepilation. The skin should be clean without any formulas, perfumes or creams.

 

Why do the procedureshave to be repeated?

All hair follicles undergo cyclically through the following phases: active growth, transient and resting. Each procedure permanently eliminates some percent of hair, which are actually in the phase of growth. According to the body region it is from 20 up to 70 %. Practically after the first procedure the significant reduction of hair is visible. A result is satisfying for 6 to 8 weeks, when the next group of hair in the growth stage appears and the procedure is then repeated. Darker and thicker hair requires less number of procedures than light and thin hair. A patient with hirsutism
or excessive hair growth requires  a greater number of procedures.

- Taking Accutane (Isotretinoin)  during last 6 months.
- Pregnancy
- Atypical warts, neoplasms, pigmentation disorders
- Implanted pacemaker or automatic internal cardiac defibrillator  (Caution: after consultation with cardiologist)
- Tan
-  Unhealthy skin in the procedure region (ulcer,  psoriasis, eczema, rush, infection)
-  Taking drugs causing photohypersensitivity
-  Keloid in history
-  Uncontrolled diabetes

 

If diluting blood, anticoagulant drugs  are taken,
it is indicated to discontinue  them two weeks before the procedure. After aggressive chemical, mechanical  peeling, skin injection or fillers administration you should wait for the  procedure for two weeks. After laser dermabrasion you should wait for the  procedure for at least three months


What is an Elos technology
